Temporary Restraining Order on your Amazon Seller Account: Case Study
Greetings, dear sellers!
We would like to share an interesting case that involves two issues at once.
The essence of the case:
Amazon put on hold all funds on the account and did not allow withdrawal + The client had a TRO (Temporary Restraining Order) from the federal court applied to his account.
Our actions:
- Through calls and appeals to special Amazon teams, we found out the reason for the hold of funds – Temporary Restraining Order. As it turned out, the complainant had filed a lawsuit against our client.
- We contacted the complainant, who demanded significant money to withdraw the complaint and lawsuit. The exciting thing about this case was that the trademark did not belong to him and was not registered anywhere = a fake complaint.
- It was important to develop a story that would set us apart from all the defendants. The complainant was a lawyer who reads the same letters daily, so we devised something original.
- Our story worked; the lawyer responded every 1-2 days.
Result:
- The complaint was withdrawn for $0, didn’t have to pay extra to the complainer.
- The hold was removed, and all funds were withdrawn to the client’s account.
