Appealing Drop Shipping Violation on Amazon
According to the Amazon Drop Shipping Policy, using the drop shipping model is acceptable if it is clear to the customer that you are the seller of record. Purchasing items from another online store and delivering those items directly to customers if you do not identify yourself as the seller or if that store appears on packing slips, and invoices, is a violation of Amazon’s Drop Shipping Policy. The buyer must always understand who completed his/her order; this is the main rule of Amazon.
According to common practice, when Amazon identifies a violation of the Drop Shipping policy, you may face the FBM suspension. At the same time, it is possible to remove the first violation by submitting an excellent Plan of Action. The second violation of the same policy may lead to permanently blocking the FBM or account at all.
Until December 2022, Amazon made it possible to download the Plan of Action in three boxes of the Appeal button.
Now, when you try to appeal this violation, you will encounter a new button format. We ask you not to be afraid in advance; the issue is still solvable. The first thing you will be asked to do is to agree to a number of statements:
1) You have read and agree to follow Amazon Drop Shipping Policy;
2) You have taken steps to avoid future violations; you understand that further violation may lead to account suspension;
3) You agree to upgrade your inventory to comply with the Amazon Drop Shipping Policy.
Next, Amazon suggests you indicate the main reason for the violation and briefly, in two sentences, to prescribe why this happened.
Next, you need to check the yes/no checkbox to determine whether you have already resolved the root cause of the violation, indicate the date from which the problem can be resolved, and the Order ID.
Amazon reviews this submission as an appeal and considers it within 1-2 days. If the Amazon system determines that there is insufficient information, you will receive a notification to submit the full Plan of Action.
