Hello, everyone from the Solver team!
Recently, product authentication review cases on Amazon have become more frequent. Amazon requests information about the seller and the supplier, including contact information, invoices, shipping documents, letters of authorization, and other documents that can confirm the supply chain and the right to sell the product.
When Amazon requests verification of a product’s authenticity, they carefully check all the documents you send. One of the authenticity check requests is shipping documentation. To be more precise, the paragraph reads: “Import or export documents (if applicable), bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists.” This request item is designed to display your deliveries in carrier documents. A bill of lading is one document that can confirm shipment.
A bill of lading (BoL) is a legal document issued by a carrier to a shipper that describes the type, quantity, and delivery point of goods. The bill of lading also serves as proof of shipment. This document must accompany the cargo, regardless of the form of transportation.
What mandatory points should BoL have? * Please note that the set of required items may vary depending on the type of transportation, the destination of the cargo, and the recipient of the goods.
- name of the carrier and sender;
- name of the place where the cargo is received;
- name of the cargo destination;
- recipient’s name;
- name of the cargo, number of pieces or quantity and/or measure (weight, volume);
- freight and other payments due to the carrier;
- time and place of issue of the bill of lading, number of drawn-up copies of the bill of lading;
- signature of the captain or other representative of the carrier.
Please always request BoL from your logistics company, as it will definitely help in case of any inspection from Amazon. If you need more information about the requirements for documents confirming the authenticity of a product or resolving any other suspension-related issue on Amazon, we are always glad to see you in a contact form on our website!
