How To Make Amazon Accept Your Appeal: Secondary Review with Seller Support
Hello again, everyone!
Usually, for appeals, you sit down and write out the account details and put together the relevant documents. You properly name all the attachments for the convenience of the Seller Support Specialist. Then you write the Root cause, Preventive and Corrective measures thoroughly. Here comes the time to send it, and… in 2 minutes, you get the default reply: “We completed our evaluation of your submission. We do not have enough information to remove the violation at this time.“
Is Amazon so progressive that it checks all documents and plans of action in 2 minutes? The question is, of course, rhetorical.
Adding new random information into the appeal without knowing the reason for the rejection would be pointless. So the first thing to do in such a case is to call Account Health and ask what kind of information is required and what details need to be added/removed.
You may underestimate the phone calls with Seller Support, but they truly are a powerful mechanism to get what you want from them.
Tip: Be sure to keep the appeal you wrote in front of you during the call. Seller Support might ask for specific details like ASIN number or dates or shipment ID, etc., and you have mentioned that in the appeal already.
It’s also a good idea to ask a Seller Support Specialist to open your appeal so that he can verify this. Once a Specialist has no objections to you, he will suggest sending an appeal to the “Internal Team”, “Escalation Team” or “on secondary review”.
Attention! A secondary review is no guarantee of success. You may still receive a rejection, but it will be well grounded, and you will have the opportunity to correct the problem. Win-win situation either way.
If the Seller Support Specialist refuses to send a request for a second review, then the problem is not solved from your side. For example, if it is a violation due to related accounts and you haven’t eliminated all of your connections to the other account.
In terms of timeframe, this reconsideration will take between 3 days and 2 weeks. But in highly complicated and confusing cases, it can be longer.
Putting it all together, the secondary review option is only relevant when your appeal was not handled properly, and a Seller Support Specialist does not know the reason for the rejection. Then he himself realizes that reconsideration is necessary.
