Amazon Seller Accounts Related by Brand

Today we will discuss the Related Account Suspension, namely connections via Brand Registry. Amazon has recently begun to link accounts on this basis. 

When you need to transfer the rights to use the brand on Amazon for whatever reason to another Amazon seller, the connection between accounts appears. Unfortunately, Amazon decides to create new reasons for the suspension, so you nor we don’t relax. Now, if one of the accounts out of these is suspended, the other is considered an accomplice and is immediately deactivated too. 

The only way out of this situation is to submit evidence of your every breath in regards to the brand, as well as a qualitative appeal that will dot the “I”s and cross the “T”s. 

We have included an approximate list of documentation that can assist you with reactivating your account below:

1. You must submit an Agreement of Cooperation outlining your rights and obligations in relation to the brand. 
2. A Brand Purchase Agreement is another option. 
3. A Document of the Alienation of the Exclusive Rights to the Brand, signed by its first owner. It will certify that you now have executive authority over the brand (only if appropriate for your case). 
4. These documents may not be sufficient for reactivation. In this instance, you may ask the owner of the related account for a confirmation letter. It should include his/her signature and a seal. If the letter contains the main message that he/she does not have any access to your account and it belongs to another person, the style and form are fully arbitrary.
5. As a final alternative, if the previous document did not help you, you may thoroughly study the relationship between accounts and write it down. It would be preferable if it’s a legal analysis conducted by a lawyer. 

Amazon will not be startled by a basic Word document, which is why the documents should be prepared on letterhead. 

Bottom line: Amazon wants to be surprised. To make it simpler to surprise, we recommend you document all of your actions so that you may provide documented evidence of any activity on your account at any moment.
